opmerkingen Gevleugelde imagines die uit deze gallen komen infecteren de wortels van allerlei grassen. Hierop worden enige generaties doorgemaakt, waarna uiteindelijk weer een generatie op Pistacia volgt; de hele cyclus duurt twee jaar. In gebieden waar Pistacia niet voorkomt kan de soort permanent leven op de secundaire waardplanten (Lampel & Meier, 2003a).

notes Winged adults that emerge from the galls settle on the roots of a variety of grass species. Here several generations take place, until a generation on Pistacia follows in the end; the entire cycle takes two years. In regions where Pistacia does not occur the species may live permanently on the secondary hosts (Lampel & Meier, 2003a).
