gal: uredinia 0.5 mm, geel, onderzijdig, op vooral bovenzijdig verrkleurde bladvlekken, mwet knotsvormige paraphysen, waarvan de wand apicaal sterk verdikt is; sporen 14-17 x 14-19 µm, wand bestekeld, 2-4 µm duk. Telia meestal onderzijdig, subepidermaal, bruinig; teliosporenn zuilvormig.

gall: uredinia 0,5 mm, yellow, hypophyllous, on especially at the upperiside discoloured leaf spots, with club-shaped paraphyses of which the wall apically is strongly thickened;spores 14-17 x 14-19 µm, wall spinulose, 2-4 µm thick. Telia usually hypophyllous, subepidermal, brownish; spores pillar-shaped.
