gal: uredinia overwegend onderzijdig, 1 mm, geel, zonder peridium, met knotsvormige paraphysen die apical een sterk verdikte wand hebben. De corresponderende bovenzijde van het blad heeft gele, door de nervatuur begrensde vlekjes. Urediniosporen fijn bestekeld, apicaal glad. Telia bovenzijdig, subepidermaal, donkerbruin, sporen hier als basalt-zuiljes, wand dun, ook apicaal.

gall: uredinia mainly hypophyllous, 1 mm, yellow, without a peridium, with club-shaped paraphyses that apically are very thick-walled. The corresponding upperside of the leaf has angular yellow spots, delimited by the leaf venation. Urediniospores finely echinulate, apex smooth. Telia epiphyllous, subepidermal, dark brown, spores here positioned like basalt columns, thin-walled, also apically.
