gal: geen waardwiseling. Spermogonia niet beschreven. Aecia vooral onderzijdig, 2-3 mm, op ronde gele vlekken, geel, omgeven door naar het centrum toe gekromde paraphysen; sporen geel. Geen uredinia. Telia onderzijdig, verspreid, zwart, eveneens omgeven door paraphysen. Teliosporen cylindrisch, 28-32 x 52-84 µm, bestaande uit meestal 4-6 wrattige cellen; apicaal een 6-12 µm hoge hyaline conische papil; steel dik, tot 90 µm lang, blijvend.
gall: no alternation of hostplant. Spermogonia not described. Aecia mainly hypophyllous, 2-3 mm, on roundish yellow spots, surrounded by paraphyses that are curved inwards; spores yellow. No uredinia. Telia hypophyllous, dispersed, black, similarly surrounded by paraphyses. Teliospores cylindrical, 28-32 x 52-84 µm, composed of generally 4-6 warty cells; apically a hylaine, conical papilla, 6-14 µm high; pedicel thick, up to 90 µm, persistent.
