gal: Alleen telia. Ze zijn talrijk, beiderzijdig, ook op de bladstelen, donkerbruin, lang bedekt door de epidermis, vaak op kleine zwellingen staand. Sporen 2-cellig, bruin, topcel met een kleurloze papil.
gall: Only telia. They are numerous, amphigenous, also on the petioles, dark brown, long covered by the epidermis, often placed on small galls. Spores 2-celled, brown, apical cell with a hyaline papilla.
opmerkingen: Het verschil met P. albescens bestaat er in dat deze soort alle sporentypen heeft, terwijl adoxae uitlsuitend telia heeft; motfologisch bestaat er weinig verschil tussen de twee soorten.
notes: the species essentially differs from P. albescens in having but one, instead of all for types of spores; morphologically there is little difference between the two.
