gal: Geen waardwisseling. Spermogonia en aecia verspreid over de hele plant, bleekgeel. Uredinia en telia vaak ontbrekend, bruin, lang bedekt door de epidermis; telia ontwikkelen zich ten dele uit de uredinia. Urediniosporen ovaal, eencellig, bestekeld; teliosporen op een lange, afvallende steel, 2-cellig, bruin, elke cel met een kleurloze papil.

gall: No host alternation. Spermogonia and aecia scattered all over the plant, pale yellow. Uredinia and telia often missing, brown, long covered by the epidermis. Telia partly develop from the uredinia. Urediniospores elliptic, 1-celled, spinulose; teliospores on a long, deciduous pedicel, 2-celled, brown, each cell with a hyaline papilla.
