gal: Geen waardwisseling; alleen uredinia en telia, beide onderzijdig, respectievelijk kaneelkleurig en bijna zwart; de telia kunen tot zwarte korsten samenvloeien. Urediniosporen bestekeld, 19-25 x 21-29 µ. Teliosporen 2-cellig, 14-25 x 40-60 µm, wand glad, steel blijvend.
gall: No host plant alternation; only uredinia and telia, both hypophyllous, cinnamon coloured and alsmost black, respectively; the telia may merge into black crusts. Urediniospores spinulose, 19-25 x 21-29 µ. Teliospores 2-celled, 14-25 x 40-60 µm, wall smooth, pedicel persistent.
