gal: Geen waardwisseling; aecia ontbrelen. Spermogonia, uredinia en telia onderzijdig. Vroeg gevormde uredinia lichtbruin; later gevomde zijn zwartbruin, en bevatten deels teliosporen; urediniosporen met 2-3, meestal equatoriale poren, elk bedekt door een lage kleurloze papil. Telia donkerder bruin. Teliosporen tweecellig, eivorimig; wand dik, glad; kiempore van de onderste cel onder de equator; steel kort, hyalien, afbrekend.
gall: No host plant alternationl aecia are missing. Spermogonia, uredinia, and telia hypophyllous. Early formed uredinia light brown; later ones are blackish brown and also contain a number of teliospores; urediniospores with 2-3, generally equatorial pores, each one capped by a low hyaline papilla. Telia darker brown; teliospores two-celled, ovoid; wall smooth, thick; germination pore of the lower cell below the equator; pedicel short, hyaline, deciduous.
