gal: Geen waardwisseling, alleen uredinia en telia beide poederig, onderzijdig, op verklerude plekken. Uredinia kaneelkleurig; sporen met 2(3) equatoriale kiemporen; de wand is apicaal wat verdikt. Telia deels ontstaan uit de uredinia, donkerbruin tot zwart. Teliosporen tweecelig, eivormig, nauwelijks ingesnoerd; wand gelijkmatig van dikte, ± glad; steel hyalien, afbrekend, tot 35 µm.
gall: No host plant alternation, only uredinia and telia, both pulverulent, hypophyllous, on discoloured spots. Urediia cinnamon-coloured; spores with 2(3) equatorial pores; the cell wall is apically somwhat thickened. Telia partly derived from the uredinia, dark brown to black. Teliospores 2-celled, oval, hardly constriced; wall uniform in thickness, ± smooth; pedicel hyaline, deciduous, up to 35 µm.
