gal: Geen waardwisseling. Aecia onderzijdig, bekervormig, geel met teruggeslagen rand, op gele vlekken, vaak aan de bladtoppen en al in maart. Uredinia vanaf mei, chocoladebruin, op gele vlekken. Urediniosporen 20-29 x 22-33 µm, met 2 (minder vaak 3) meestal equatoriale poren. Telia vanaf augusus, bijna zwart; sporen 19-31 x 27-49 µm, tweecellig, fijn-wrattig, op korte, afbrekende stelen.
gall: No host plant alternation. Aecia hypophyllous, cupulate, yellow with recurved margin, on yellow spots, often on the leaf tips and already in March. Uredinia from May on, chocolade brown on yellow spots. Urediniospores 20-29 x 22-33 µm, with 2 (less often 3) mostly equatorial pores. Telia from August, almost black; spores 19-31 x 27-49 µm, two-celled, finely verrucose, on short, deciduous pedicels.
