gal uredina aan de bovenzijde van het blad, talrijk, oranje tot kaneelbruin; sporen 25-33 x 35-43 µm, wand apicaal niet verdikt, met (5)8(12) kiemporen, niet bedekt door een papil. Telia onderzijdig, zeer talrijk, zwart, bedekt door de epidermis. Teliosporen 2-cellig, slak kegelvormig; wand glad, apical zwak verdikt; zeer kort, afvallend.
