gal: Uitsluitend telia, in tot een halve cm grote grijsbruine complexen; de telia van elkaar gescheiden door verticale bundels cq. 70 µm lange bruine paraphysen, die boven de telia uitsteken. Teliosporen tweecellig, 15-21 x 50-70 µm; de bovenste (veel) korter dan de onderste, met een duidelijk verdikte apicale celwand; ze staan op een korte, niet-afvallende steel.
gall: Exclusive telia, in greyish-brown complexes of up to half a cm; the telia separated by vertical bundles of brown, c. 70 µm long vertical paraphyses, overtopping the telia. Teliospores two-celled, 15-21 x 50-70 µm; the top cell (much) shorter than the basal one, with a distinctly thickend apical cell wall; pedicel short, persistent.
