gal: alleen uredinia en telia bekend. Uredinia gelig, onderzijdig, vaak het hele blad bedekkend; ze liggen onder de epidermis, de sporen komen via een kleine centrale pore vrij; de urediniosporen zijn gesteeld, hyalien, de wandd is fijn-stekelig. Telia eveneens onderzijdig, sub-epidermaal, bruin; teliosporen ± bolvormig, ongesteeld, glad.
gall: only uredinia and telia known. Uredinia hypophyllous, yellowish, often covering the entire leaf; they are sub-epidermal, spores are liberated through a small pore; urediniospores pedicellate, hyaline, finely echinulate. Telia also hypophyllous, sub-epidermal, brown; teliospores ± globular, smooth, without pedicels.

opmerkingen: in arctisch Noord-Amerika heeft waardwisseling plaats met Picea glauca; in Europa is dit niet waargenomen.
notes: in arctic North America host alteration occurs with Picea glauca; this has not been observed in the European Arctic.
