gal: spermogonia en aecia onbekend. Uredinia meestal onderzijdig, met een rode verkleuring op de corresponderende bovenzijde van het blad. Ze zijn tot minder dan een halve mm groot; ze breken door de epidermis heen en zijn dan nog bedekt door een peridium. Het peridium heeft een pore; de cellen daaromheen hebben een sterk verdikte wand en zijn aan de bovenzijde bestekeld. Telia onderzijdig, onopvallend; sporen gevomrd in het bladweefsel.

gall: spermogonia and aecia unknown. Most uredinia hypophyllous, with a red discoloration of the corresponding upperside of the leaf. They measure less than half a mm; they rupture the epidermis, but then are still covered by a peridium, with a central pore. The peridial cells around the pore have a strongly thickened wall, and are spinulose above. Telia hypophyllous, inconspicuous; spores formed intracellarly in the leaf tissue.
