gal: spermogonia beiderzijdig, kleine zwarte of bruine puntjes. Aecia in het vroege voorjaar goudgeel, bekervormig, verspreid over de hele onderzijde van het blad, ook op de stelen. De planten zijn misvormd.
gall: spermogonia amphigenous, small black or brown specks. Aecia in early spring, golden yellow, cupulate, dispersed over the entire underside of the leaf, also on the petioles and stem. The plants are disfigured.

gal: uredinia en telia onderzijdig, bruin, respectievelijk zwart. Uredinia dicht en gelijkmatig verspreid, met geknopte paraphysen. Telia lang door de epidermis bedekt. Teliosporen in bundels, tweecellig, makkelijk in tweeën uiteenvallend. De onderste cel is duidelijk minder wrattig en lichter van kleur dan de bovenste, en meer langgerekt of peervormig. De kiempore van de bovenste cel ligt nabij de scheidingswand; de wand van deze cel is apicaal ook wat verdikt.
gall: uredinia and telia hypophyllous, brown and black, respectively. Uredinia densely and regularly dispersed, with capitate paraphyses. Telia long covered by the epidermis. Teliospores in bundles, two-celled, but easily falling apart. The lower cell is conspicuously less verrucose and lighter in tone than the top one, and more oval or pear shaped. The germination pore of the top cel is positioned near the separation wall, in this cell the wall apically is somewhat thickened.

opmerkingen: de schimmels overwintert in de wortelstokken van Anemone. Vooral op perzik is de schimmel in gebieden met mediterraan klimaat een belangrijke plaag.
notes: the fungus hibernates in the Anemone rhizomes. Especially on peach the fungus is an important pest in regions with a mediterranean climates.
