gal: kleine knopgal: 3 mm lang, kaal, dwars eivormig, middels een korte sokkel boven de knopschubben uitstekend; donkergekleurd, met onregelmatige lichte lijntjes.
gall: small bud gall, 3 mm lang, smooth, transversely ovoid, standing above the bud scales by way of a short broad stalk; dark coloured with some light lines.
