mijn Vrij smalle, af en toe vertakte, slordige gang die begint aan de bladbasis, in het bijzonder de basis van de hoofdnerf. Zijwanden niet werkelijk parallel, maar onregelmatig uitgevreten, Frass meestal aanwezig, en dan in een regelmatige centrale lijn. De larve kan de mijn verlaten en elders een nieuwe mijn maken. Deze latere mijnen zijn veel breder, en de frass ligt er minder regelmatig. Larve zonder poten. Verpopping buiten de mijn (Hering, 1957a).

Frass mostly present, and then in a central line. The larva is capable of leaving the mine and start a new one elsewhere. These later mines are much broader, anf the frass is scattered irregularly. Larvae without feet. Pupation outside the mine (Hering, 1957a).
