mijn Het ei wordt afgezet in de onderzijde van een zijnerf. Van hieruit ontwikkelt zich een grote voldiepe doorzichtige lichtbruine blaasmijn die zich van nerven niets aantrekt. De mijn ligt meestal in de distale deel van het blad, en kan het halve blad beslaan. De mijn scheurt vaak in, en de bladtop is misvormd. De larve verpopt tenslotte in een bolvormige cocon in de mijn (Scherf, 1964a).
mine Oviposition in the underside of a lateral vein. From here develops a large, full depth transparant light brown blotch that expands irrespective of the leaf venation. Mine mostly in the distal half of the leaf, may eventually occupy half of its surface. The mine often tears in, and the leaf tip is disfigured. The larva eventually pupates in a globular cocoon within the mine (Scherf, 1964a).
