De larve wordt beschreven door Griffiths (1963a). De mandibel heeft 4 tanden die niet alterneren; achterspiracula (met 3 papillen) gescheiden door 1,5-2 x hun eigen diameter. Achter de mandibels geen fijn-bestekeld veldje. De bestekeling van het lichaam is voor een Agromyza heel zwak en incompleet.

De beschrijving door de Meijere (1925a) van de larve van nigripes heeft duidelijk betrekking op A. hendeli. Waarschijnlijk geldt dat ook voor de afbeelding door Starý (1930a).

The larva is described by Griffiths (1963a). The mandible has 4, not alternating, teeth. Rear spiracula (with 3 papillae) separated by 1.5-2 times their own diameter. No finely spinulose field behind the mandibles. For an Agromyza, the body spinulation is weak and imcomplete.

De Meijere's (1925a) description of the larva of nigripes clearly refers to A. hendeli. This probably also applied to the drawing in Starý (1930a).
