Dempewolf (2001a) geeft een uitvoerige beschrijving van de larve. Voorspiraculum met 7-9, achterspiraculum met 7-12 papillen; mandibel met 2 tanden, sterk alternerend. In tegenstelling tot bij L. trifolii is alleen de voorste helft van het larvelichaam geel (Minkenberg & van Lenteren, 1986a).

Dempewolf (2001a) gives a detailed description of the larva. Front spiraculum with 7-9, rear spirculum with 7-12 papillae; mandibles strongly alternating, with 2 teeth. Contrary to L. trifolii only the anterior part of the living larva is coloured yellow (Minkenberg & van Lenteren, 1986a).
