mijn Brede gangmijn, overgaand in een grote transparante blaasmijn met 1 of enkele, in verhouding zeer grote maden, die in hoog tempo een blad uitmijnen en dan naar het volgende verhuizen. Aan het eerste blad bij het begin van de mijn een of meer langgerekte wittige eischaaltjes. Verpopping buiten de mijn.

Mogelijk incindenteel ook op Persicaria soorten. Een vermelding door Brischke van Ipomoea (als P. grossa) is dubieus (Hering, 1957a).
Perhaps occasionally on Persicaria spp. A reference by Brischke of Ipomoea (as P. grossa) is questionable (Hering, 1957a).
