mijn Gang van hooguit 2 cm, voortgezet in, en vaak overlopen door een latere bovenzijdige, slordige blaas, die meestal in het topdeel van het blad ligt. Frass geconcentreerd in het centrum van de blaas; daar vindt ook de verpopping plaats. Het puparium is met verdroogde frass gekit aan de bodem en plafond van de mijn. Voor- of achterspiracula steken niet door de epidermis heen, maar bij de voorzijde van het puparium heeft de mijn wel een lichtgekleurde, dunne plek (onderste foto).

mine Corridor of 2 cm at most, opening into, and often overrun by, an untidy blotch that usually lies in the leaf tip. Frass concentrated in the centre of the blotch; here also the pupation takes place. The puparium is glued with dried frass to the floor and ceiling of the mine. Neither front nor rear spiracula penetrate the epidermis, but near the frontal end of the puparium the mine has a pale, thin, spot (lower picture).
