mine Upper surface corridor; the first part is rather straigt, and often follows the leaf margin. The second part is strongly wound, intestine-like, and froms a secondary blotch. Frass in coarse, irregularly dispersed, widely separated grains. Pupation in the mine, in a lower-surface pupal chamber; the front spiracula of the pupaprium penetrate the lower epidermis.
