mijn Ovipositie op de bladschijf. Vandaar begint een gang die snel overgaat in een voldiepe bruine blaasmijn, die de begingang vaak overloopt (Viramo, 1969a). De mijn breidt zich aanvankelijk uit in de richting van de bladtop, loopt daarna weer naar de bladbasis (Buhr, 1933a, 1941a). De larve verlaat kort voor de verpopping de mijn.

Initially the mine expands towards the leaf tip, later it descends towards the base (Buhr, 1933a, 1941a). Pupation shortly after the larva has vacated the mine.
