zak Larven in een zwartbruine pistoolzak van ca. 7 mm, die met een mondhoek van 70° vrijwel loodrecht op het blad staat.De zak is versierd met witte haren, afkomstig van de waardplant. Vergeleken met C. zelleriella is de zak duidelijk buikig.

case Blackish brown pistol case of about 7 mm, with a mouth angle of c. 70° standing almost erect on the leaf. The case is decorated with white wool, originating from the hostplant. In comparison with C. zelleriella the case is more paunchy.
