zak Larve in een samengestelde bladzak met een mondhoek van ca 30°, die aan de buikzijde zwak gekield is. Het voorste (jongste) bladstukje van de zak is bruin en behaard, de oudere gedeelten zijn bleker en vrijwel kaal. De zak is slank, ca 18 mm lang, en lijkt op een doorn zoals die bij de meeste van zijn waardplanten voorkomt (Hering, 1957a).

case Larva in a composite leaf case, ventrally weakly keeled, with a mouth angle of c. 30°. The frontal (youngest) leaf fragment is brown and hairy, the older parts are pale and almost smooth. The case is slender, c. 18 mm long, and bears a strong resemblance to the spines of most of its hostplants (Hering, 1957a).
