mijn Ovipositie aan de bladbovenzijde. Vandaar loopt een kort gangetje, dat overgaat in een langgerekte blaasmijn. De blaasmijn is bovenzijdig, wittig tot geelbruin; doordat de larve de binennwand van de mijn met spinsel bekleedt wordt deze opgerimpeld. De mijn bevat geen frass: dit wordt door een kleine opening aan de onderzijde van de mijn naar buiten gewerkt. Verpopping in de mijn; de pop ligt vrij in de mijn.

mine Oviposition at the upperside of the leaf. From there runs a short corridor that widens into a long-elliptic blotch. The blotch is upper-surface, whitish to yellow-brown; the larve lines the inside with much silk, causing the mine to pucker slightly. All frass is ejected through a small opening in the underside of the mine. Pupation within the mine; the pupa is not enclosed in a cocoon.
