De larve is slank en bij verstoring heel levendig. Lichaam bleek-roze met drie rode lengtestrepen en op elk segment een rode vlek; kop lichtbruin, prothoracale plaat bleek met twee donkere vlekjes (Koster, 2002c; Koster & Sinev, 2003a). De larve die ik fotografeerde was veel bleker.
The larva is slender and reacts quite lively on disturbance. Body pale rosa with three red length lines, and a red spot on each segment; head light brown, protharacic shield pale with a pair of dark spots (Koster, 2002c; Koster & Sinev, 2003a). The larva pictured above is a lot paler.
