Ectoedemia mahalebella
mijn Ei aan de onderzijde van het blad, meestal bij of op de bladrand, maar in sommige gebieden veelal dichtbij een dikke nerf (van Nieukerken, 1985a). De mijn begint als een smalle gang, gevuld met roodachtige frass; de gang is sterk gekronkeld, tenzij hij de bladrand volgt. De gang gaat zonder overgang over in een klein, min of meer rond blaasje; de frass is hier zwartig en ligt in het centrum.

The mine begins as a narrow corridor, filled with reddish frass; the corridor is strongly contorted, unless when it follows the leaf margin. The corridor abruptly widens into a small, roundish, blotch; the frass here is blackish and is concentrated in the centre.
