in doorvallend licht is te zien dat er twee eieren van een parasitoïd aan de larve zijn gehecht.
When strongly lighted from below it appears that two parasioid eggs are attached to the larva.
Volgroeide larven zijn geheel wit; de kop is heel zwak gechitiniseerd, alleen de monddelen zijn lichtbruin (Bengtsson, 2008a). Volgens Hering (1957a) hebben jongere larven een zwarte kop en pronotum!
Full grown larvae are entirely white; the head is very weakly chitinised, only the mouthparts are light brown (Bengtsson, 2008a). According to Hering (1957a) young larvae have a black head and pronotum!
