mijn De mijn begint als een onderzijdig epidermaal gangetje langs een dikke nerf, overgaand in een uiteindeljk zeer doorzichtige vouwmijn. De mijn, die vaak een heel blad kan bestaan, is sterk geplooid. Frass in een losse bal. Heel bijzonder is dat de verpopping niet plaatsvindt binnen de mijn, maar in een cocon in een bladplooi, zoals dat bij Caloptilia gebruikelijk is.
mine The mine begins as an epidermal lower-surface corridor that closely follows a thick vein. It continues into a tentifom mine with strong folds, that may occupy almost an entire leaf, and be very transparant in the end. Frass in a loose accumulation. Very unusual is the fact that pupation occurs outside the mine, in a cocoon in a leaf fold, like is the rule in Caloptilia.
