De larve is helder geel met een geelbruine kop en een bruin vlekje op de prothorax. De ganglia van het buikmerg opvallend. De larve ligt op zijn rug in de mijn. SCS Brown (1947a) en Gustafsson & van Nieukerken (1990a) beschrijven de larve.
The larva is bright yellow with a yellowish brown head and a brown spot on the prothorax. The ganglia of the ventral nervous system are conspicuous. SCS Brown (1947a) and Gustafsson & van Nieukerken (1990a) give a description of the larva.
