Hering (1957a) neem in zijn tabel nog een mijn op van de tortricide Aphelia paleana (Hübner, 1793). Dit is een buitengewoon polyfage soort, en uit de overige literatuur blijkt niet dat het normaliter een mineerder zou zijn. De beschreven mijn moet wel een toevallige gebeurtenis betreffen.

Hering (1957a) includes in his key a mine of the tortricid Aphelia paleana (Hübner, 1793). This is an extremely polyphagous species, and nowhere in the literature it is described as regular miner. The mine that Hering described must have been a fortuitous phenomenon.
